My Music Video

Below, you will find the link to my music video! Unfortunately as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions, I did not get to shoot all of the content I had planned for in my video, so I drew up a storyboard and used Adobe Premier Pro to edit the drawings into a sequence, which reflects the way I would have wanted to shoot. Below the link on this post you will find images of my storyboard plan, which has a description of each setting alongside the key elements such as camera angles that I would have used in the shoot. Charlotte Still's Music Video https://youtu.be/QYjwizzDqH0 Intended evidence: Intertextuality : part of my intention with the music video was to include an element of intertextuality that linked to the type of art and illustration used, such as my own interpretation of art work from Roy Lichtenstein, and photography and videography similar to music videos for artists such Lady Gaga.  I wanted to include a short clip of an extreme close up o...

My Website

Here is the link to my website!  Charlotte's Website Intertextuality : part of my intention with the home page was to include an element of intertextuality that linked to the type of art and illustration used, such as art work from Andy Warhol, and photography from my shooting locations. As I was not able to actually shoot my video, I was unable to get these photos, however I am lucky enough to have members of my family who were there to use as models, for example in the Warhol-style images on my homepage. I also intended to use links to the Warner Music Group (WMG) on the bottom of my page, which would have taken my audience to the WMG webpage.  The last thing I wanted to include was a video element, which would have consisted of a radio interview with the artists in the music video talking about the experience of making the song, and what the message behind the music holds to them. The inclusion of this allows audiences to get a feel for the intended meaning of the song and ...

NEA Planning part 6- Schedule

NEA Planning part 4- location information

Image
The purpose of this blog is to identify different potential shooting locations for my music video. I will be locating areas that will be suitable for each scene, including addresses and completing a risk assessment on each of the locations. This will help me when it comes to shooting the video itself, as I’ll be able to identify potential hazards while carrying out my video with other people, as well as good spots within that area to physically shoot, in order to get the best shot in as few takes as possible.

NEA Planning part 5- Casting

Using my previous posts for reference; t he purpose of this task is to identify the actors/ actresses and models that I am going to use in my music video and website. I will be creating profiles for each of the cast members, which will include a description about them including key information as to why I have chosen them. ____________________________ Click here for PowerPoint presentation ——————————————

NEA Planning Part 3 - Product Style Profile

I will be undertaking a creative task through which I will be able to make decisions on the styles to be used in my music video. I will be gaining an understanding of how the use of pencil sketches are influential and resourceful in the influence of stylistic decisions through planning, and I will therefore be able to give recognition to the importance of sketches in planning and decision making in the process of creating a music video. My music video will be a hybrid genre between the main narrative based footage and smaller pieces of performance based footage. I will be showing both artists in the videos as well as including extras to help with the storyline.  Below is a shot list/ storyboard of potential shots that I am going to include in my video, and the sequence of which they will occur in. You need to gain feedback from peers about each of your ideas as you produce them and improve these according to relevant feedback.   YOU NEED TO MAKE A RECORD OF THIS FEEDBACK....

NEA planning part 2 My Mood Board And Ideal Cast

About my chosen song 1) Questions that I need to answer:  What brief did you choose? What two products are you required to produce? What are the minimum requirements for your chosen productions? What is the target audience as prescribed in the brief? What is  your  target audience for the products you're creating? (this needs to link to the audience profiling post). I have chosen to do the music video brief. Two of the products that I am required to produce are a website and a music video. The minimum requirements from my chosen brief state that me music video should be three-minutes long, and sung by a fictional band or artist who is signed under Warner Music Group (WMG). As for the website, it is expected that I create two working pages, which should promote the band or artist to the target audience, as well as enabling fans to interact with them. My initial idea for the website is to include social media links, merchandise, tour dates and footage showing a short 'behin...
