Survey Analysis:
Below is a series of screenshots of my results from my music video survey, which I created in order to find out some key information about how I should go about approaching my music video for production. In order to gain a wide range of responses in regards to age group, I decided to post my survey link via snapchat, a platform that is targeted towards the younger audience, and Facebook, because I have family members, friends and work colleges on there who vary in age and gender.
From my results, I have been able to gather a large cohort of responses, varying from person to person, but coming together for form minority and majority in how popular each category was. I will use my information to establish a target audience for my music video, which will help me with not only the physical production of the video, but also with distribution and exhibition, as I will be able to promote my music video on platforms that my target audience is most likely to use, and display the music video on a website that is attractive to and interesting for my target audience to explore.

From looking in depth at my results, I can conclude that my target audience will be formed of predominantly females who are under the age of 18, and have an interest in the R&B genre of music. I will use a hybrid of concept and performance. I found that people most said that they looked out for the mise-en-scene within a music video to make it most appealing, as well as the choreography of the dance. On my behalf, I must make sure that I can use a song with a good sound quality, so that the audio aspect of the video is just as perfected as the production of the video itself. Location is also key, as if I were to choose a location that doesn't match the story I am trying to tell, then the video, in my opinion, would be quite pointless and unlinked to my message.

My non-target audience is 45-54 year males who have an interest in classical and rock music, and prefer animated filming styles.
